Cut-off fitting for connection of two pipe systems has an intermediate seal (6) in the cut-off component, located in the lower opening area of the fitting lower part with only a slight distance to the medium-conducting main conduit (9). The fitting is for drinking water. The inner chamber of the fitting is sealed against a medium with the aid of the intermediate seal, the medium coming from the main pipe side (ductile cast conduit (9)). The intermediate seal is made of drillable, millable or stampable material. After complete downward rotation of the valve (2) and of the drill, milling tool or stamping tool (4) the intermediate seal is completely divided, and the drill core and swarf of the intermediate seal remain in the cutting tool, the valve sealing in the valve seal seat (3).
