A removable fitting for a head stone on a support stone has similar metal locking clamps fitted into the bottom of the head stone and into the top of the support stone. The clamps comprise shafts, which are cemented into blind holes in the stones, and forked bases, with the forks at right angles to the shaft. The forked ends are positioned so that they lock over each other in a simple slide action. The forked ends are slightly tapered to result in a locking grip.
