摘要

The pacemaker includes a sensing device for sensing a metabolic demand parameter of a patient. A converting device is used for converting the metabolic demand parameter into a pulse rate. The converting device receives the metabolic demand parameter and determines in response to it a pulse rate in accordance with a preselected function. The function is based on the anaerobic threshold level of the patient, and pulse generating device is used for generating heart pulses corresponding to the pulse rate. The metabolic demand parameter is related to minute volume, while the converting device converts the metabolic demand parameter along one of first and second lines. The latter are joined at a point related to the anaerobic threshold level.
