The system ensures correct pressurization of fuel system compatible with both petrol and LPG. The control system regulates the operation of the petrol pump for an internal combustion engine in a vehicle which operates on two fuels. A first system supplies the engine with petrol, and a second system supplies the engine with liquified petroleum gas. These two systems are mounted upstream of a butterfly valve. Electronic engine management computers (11, 10) are provided for both petrol supply, and LPG supply. The motor of the petrol pump (12) is controlled to operate intermittently, with the duration of operation being controlled to ensure the maintenance of adequate pressure in the ramp (15), and the duration of the stop period being controlled to ensure that the pressure in the ramp does not fall below a certain residual value.
