Measurement of angular flow distribution rate for fertilizer centrifuge spreaders, uses camera with flash or stroboscopic lighting to take images of spreading disks

Uses constant stroboscopic or instantaneous flash lighting and camera synchronized with the angular position of a disk (1). The flash or stroboscopic trigger is synchronized with the angular position of the disk. A back screen assures a dark rear plane background for the scene. Device for measuring the angular spread distribution of solid particles such as fertilizer around each disk (1) of a centrifuge distributor. The distributor is of the type having a hopper from which the particles to be spread fall under gravity onto rotating bladed disks which spread the particles. The device has a measuring system including a camera which is placed in a vertical or oblique position framing the spreading disk.
