The dinghy stowage for a marine vessel integrates into the cockpit area (3) of the boat. The cockpit area is partially shaped to receive the dinghy as an exact fit. The cockpit area can have integral benches (5), and can have shaped surfaces to receive flotation material on the dinghy hull. The dinghy fits into a shell (4) which slides on rails longitudinally of the vessel.
