The medical access unit has a plastic body (d) in two parts having an electroluminscent symbol, and a professional symbol (b) added. A removable adhesive strip (a) holds a luminous display (c) and shows if the system has been tampered with. The luminous display holds a calendar. There are button batteries and an external jack plug. A reception antenna (n) collects information for a modem and microprocessor. A speech synthesiser allows translation of written text, outputting to a loudspeaker.
