A fuel gas fed into a combustion chamber (1) of the power tool, in accordance with an intermittent metering operational mode, is mixed with air in the chamber, for obtaining a mixture of combustible air-fuel gas. The mixture filled in a fore-chamber (21) and a main chamber (22), is ignited using an ignition device (23). An Independent claim is also included for portable power tool.
