PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cope with maintenance for an equipment, and to enhance an operation rate for the equipment. PSOLUTION: This remote maintenance system 1 has a plurality of equipments 10a-10n, and a remote maintenance device 11 connected to the equipments 10a-10n via a prescribed network 5. The system has the equipments 10a-10n for diagnosing necessity for coping with the maintenance, and for transmitting a maintenance requirement to the remote maintenance device 11 in response to a result of the diagnosis, and the remote maintenance device 11 for receiving the maintenance requirement from the equipments 10a-10n to retrieve the other equipment 10n installed in the place same to that of the equipment 10a from which the maintenance requirement is transmitted, and for transmitting an inspection requirement to the other equipment 10n to receive the inspection requirement from the other equipment 10n.
