PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for quickly and effectively performing a purse-string suture of the such as intestine or a tubular tissue.;SOLUTION: This surgical suture device for performing the purse-string suture in the tubular tissue is provided with a pair of relatively movable jaws for fastening the tubular tissue. The respective jaws are provided with separate and uniform size teeth rows and the fist jaw of the jaw pair can turn around a first turning axis relative to the second jaw between an open position for storing the tubular tissue and a fastened position where the first jaw teeth row is engaged with the second jaw teeth row. This suture device is also provided with a camming rod slidably disposed for operating, at least, one of the jaws and turning the jaw pair about a third turning axis, which is transverse to the first turning axis, and an operation means sliding the camming rod for joint-operating the jaw pair about the third turning axis and sliding the drive rod for operating the jaw pair about the first turning axis.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
