PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for restoring seaweed beds with which bite injury by seaweed-eating animals such as abalone, sea urchin and turban shell is prevented and restoration of seaweed beds can efficiently be carried out, and to provide a method for restoring seaweed bed.;SOLUTION: The substrate 1 for restoring seaweed bed is composed of an upper substrate 3 on which seaweeds are attached and grown by prior culture and a lower substrate 2 in which an area of the cross section gradually deceases toward a lowest point and is formed as a structure which is axisymmetric to a central axis Z. A weight part 22 functions as a weight for positioning the upper substrate 3 always upward than the lower substrate 2 so that the substrate 1 for restoring the seaweed bed can rise like roly-poly even when the substrate 1 falls and functions as a feeder for an iron ion for feeding the iron ion necessary for growth of seaweed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
