PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorbent monolith containing an active carbon, a method for producing the monolith and a method for adsorbing a volatile organic chemical compound, ozone and a chemical substance from fluid flow.;SOLUTION: An extrudable mixture having an active carbon, a ceramic forming material, a fluxing agent material and water is extruded through an extrusive die, a monolith is dried while a shape of the monolith is maintained even after being extruded and the dried monolith is sintered with enough temperature and time to form a ceramic matrix by a reaction of the material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
