PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colloidal crystal that is homogeneously gelled until the deep part of the crystal with high repeatability by dissolving several problems that the gelled colloid crystal produced by the conventional gelling process with irradiation of ultraviolet rays is unsatisfactory in the crystallization in deep parts of the crystals and that at the gelling with irradiation of visible rays cannot be obtained a suitable polymerization initiator, since it is accompanied by bubble formation.;SOLUTION: In this method for producing gelled colloid crystal, a high polymer or a macromer is added to a colloid solution using an aqueous liquid as a dispersant, then camphorquinone, riboflavine or their derivative is added as a polymerization initiator and the mixture is irradiated with the light including the wavelength in the range of from at least 400 to 500 nm to cause gelation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
