PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking stick suitable especially for rehabilitation exercise of a person disabled in his/her legs by stabilizing the supporting state of his/her body with the stick during walking so as to walk easily.;SOLUTION: A supporting part 82 is provided projecting upward from a leg support opening and closing part 58 which supports the vicinities of both of the upper ends of front and rear legs 56 and 55 and includes an opening and closing mechanism consisting of a four-joint linkage including the legs 56 and 55. A grip 84 is formed in rear of the supporting part 82, and an elastic member for energizing the legs always in a closing direction is provided at the leg support opening and closing part 58 or the legs 56 and 55. In addition, positioning parts for deciding leg opening degrees which decide the maximum and minimum opening degrees of the legs 56 and 55 are provided respectively. At least one of the legs 56 and 55 is provided with an elastic member 81 which projects toward the other leg, and contacts the other leg near the minimum opening degrees of the legs 56 and 55 to apply energizing force in an opening direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
