PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system without a limit in a range of use and also applicable to mobile equipment and capable of controlling a power generating amount. PSOLUTION: The fuel cell system 1 equipped with a fuel cell 2 is provided with a driving energy storing means 31 storing and supplying mechanical energy as driving energy, a supply means 22 supplying fuel to the fuel cell 2 by the driving energy from the driving energy storing means 31, a generating speed regulator 33 for converting the driving energy from the driving energy storing means 31 into electric energy, a control means 36 controlling the drive of the supply means 22 driven by the electric energy converted by the generating speed regulator 33, and a generating state detecting means 26 detecting a generating state at the fuel cell 2.
