PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a main distributing station to control the timing of inserting or changing programs, etc. at a sub distributing station.;SOLUTION: The digital broadcast system has a master station 2 serving as a main distributing station and a plurality of slave stations 3 serving as sub distributing stations. The master and slave stations are connected through communication lines such as cables, radio communication lines, satellite communication lines, etc. The master station 2 comprises a broadcast managing unit 22. The manager 22 generates a series of TS packets of broadcast contents stored in a program contents storage 21 by adding timing information indicative of timing of starting broadcast contents governed by the master station or of contents switching timing to each broadcast contents accumulated in a program contents saver 21, and distributs the TS packets to the slave station 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
