PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curl correction device which is capable of freely setting its curl-correction angle with a simple structure, causes no interference with other objects in its non-used state, and has no fear of being lost. ;SOLUTION: A sheet of paper discharged from a paper outlet 28 gets into a correction path 36 at a paper inlet 38 of a curl correction device 10. The leading edge of the paper is guided by outer plates 44 and 46 upward as well as the intermediate portion thereof comes into contact with a contact part 42 at the lowermost end of inner plates 48 and 50. As a result of which the paper is curved so as to project downward for its curl correction. Along groove 70 formed at an arm 60 of the curl correction device 10 receives therein a pin 72 projected from an image forming device 12 for their sliding engagement. Selectively changing the engagement of the pin 72 with a desired engaging recess out of a plurality of engaging recesses formed in the long groove 70 turns the curl correction device 10 on the tip of its projection 66 to change its curl-correction angle. The engagement of the pin 72 with an engaging part 82 at the end of the long groove 70 allows the curl correction device 10 to be stored in a housing part 84 of the image forming device 12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
