PURPOSE: To obtain an isolated gene participating in the homologous recombining reaction of a higher eucaryote. ;CONSTITUTION: Two amino acid sequences considered as important are selected from an amino acid sequence held by a budding yeast Rad 51 gene to synthesize an oligonucleotide containing all the base sequences having the possibility of coding the amino acid sequences. A DNA amplified with a previously synthesized oligonucleotide based on a cDNA prepared by using a reverse transcriptase from an RNA of a murine spermary is obtained. The DNA labeled with radioactivity is used as a probe to screen a murine cDNA library. Thereby, a gene participating in the murine homologous recombining reaction is isolated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
