PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an automatic disk change for changing a DVD-Video disk when the reproduction of a title to be the user's purpose of viewing the DVD- Video disk is finished.;SOLUTION: A navigation manager 14, when instructed from a main control section 12 to start reproduction of a new DVD-Video disk 1, estimates the size of each title of the DVD-Video disk 1 and, making the title having the size larger than half of that of the estimated largest title the monitoring object title, reproduces the DVD-Video disk 1 while controlling a presentation engine 15. When all the monitoring object titles are reproduced, the navigation manager stops reproduction and issues a disk changing request to the main control section 12. The main control section 12 changes the DVD-Video disk 1 by controlling a DVD changer, and instructs the navigation manager 14 to start reproduction of a new DVD-Video disk 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
