PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torquer type accelerometer setting a measuring range according to a using purpose. ;SOLUTION: This torquer type accelerometer is formed with pick-off movable electrodes PD1 and PD2 corresponding to the upper/lower both surfaces of a plate pendulum 1, pick-off fixed electrodes PDS1 and PDS2 opposed to the pick-off movable electrodes at some interval apart therefrom, torquer movable electrodes TO1 and TO2, and torquer fixed electrodes TOS1 and TOS2 opposed to the torquer movable electrodes at some interval apart therefrom and issues a detection signal in proportion to the displacement of the pendulum 1 based on a difference in an static capacitance formed between the pick-off movable electrodes and the pick-off fixed electrodes. This torquer type accelerometer is so formed that a detection signal in proportion to the displacement of the pendulum 1 is applied to the both of the torquer movable electrodes and a preset power supply voltage is impressed to the both torquer fixed electrodes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
