PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calculating and presenting total cost generated in improving information systems in operation and an effect on the quality of provided service. ;SOLUTION: This method is characterized by having a step for inputting IT (information technology) infrastructure improvement measures to be executed in order to improve the information systems, a step for specifying, from the inputted improvement measures, the cost generated by possessing the information systems and the effect on the quality of provided service, and a step for displaying the specified cost and effect on the quality of provided service. This method has a means for calculating and presenting the total cost and the effect on the quality of provided service in selecting the measures for improving the information systems after measuring the total cost and the level of service of an information system possessed for supporting own company's business and of an information system possessed for providing services and starting the operation of the possessed information systems.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
