A method of printing a copy of a document, using an original printed document having a zone including coded data, the method including the following steps: ;(a) receiving a request from an optical sensing device, the request being generated in response to a user directing the optical sensing device towards the zone on the original document, which causes the optical sensing device to sense coded data on the original document and transmit a message to the printer indicative of a copy request, or to the computer system operatively connected to the printer; ;(b) retrieving a copy of the original document from a memory of the computer system in response to receiving the request; and ;(c) printing the retrieved copy.
