The invention relates to the hydroacoustic field and solves the problem of plotting the torpedoes path and of calculating their travelling velocity on portions of the path, with and without self-controlling head. Plotting the path is performed on a display with cathode ray tube by a specialized calculation system (SCS) having implemented a corresponding calculation program in the (PROM) memory, based on the data taken from a network of acoustic sensors ( T1 ... Tn) with narrow directivity char acteristic in the travelling plane and broad in a perpendicular plane. The sensors are located colinear and grouped by twos so that the directivity characteristic of one of them is normal to the network axis and the directivity characteristic of the other is inclined at an angle of 45 degree . The measuring assemblies consisting of them are placed at known distances. The installation comprises two acoustic sources/two targets (TA1 ad TA2) which can be coupled in turn, upon the operator's desire, for checking the functioning of the torpedo self-controlling head. The noise caused by the triggering of the torpedo launched in the network axis is listened to by means of the acoustic control sensor (Tc).
