A twofold drive of a belt conveyor has a frame and two universal drive modules, which are attached to each other by means of a vertical junction and are placed symmetrically in a plan view with respect to the junction plane. Each of those modules has a reducer, comprising of a quick and a slow part, a two-support drive drum with a cylindrical toothed wheel, hydro-muff and a motor. The body of the quick part of the reducer is fixed on the body of the slow part of the reducer, its input shaft is connected to the motor by means of the hydro-muff. The pinion of the intermediate shaft goes to the cavity of the slow part of the reducer. Bearing unit of one support is placed in the side wall of theforce structure of the drive module, and the bearing unit of the other support is installed in the body of the slow part of the reducer. Cylindrical toothed wheels of the both drive drums are placed in the cavities of respective bodies of the slow parts of the reducers, and are coupled with the bearings of intermediate shafts. In the vertical junction between the uniform drive modules a vertical intermediate insertion is mounted, arranged as a force structure, with the end contact surfaces being in the shape and dimensions identical to the surfaces of joining the uniform drive modules.
