The method for assessing the degree of the myocardial hypertrophy in the patients with the hypertension, grade 2 comprises the isolation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells followed by their incubation with dexamethasone and staining. The index of apoptosis induction is assessed as the ratio between the apoptotic indices for the spontaneous and induced apoptosis. When the index of apoptosis induction is within 0.5064-0.4375 range, the non-significant myocardial hypertrophy is suggested. The index within the range of 0.4374-0.3556 suggests of the moderate myocardial hypertrophy. The pronounced hypertrophy is suggested when the index of apoptosis induction is within 0.3555-0.2860 range.
