Porous titanium-silica involves isolated atoms of titanium and is characterized by a high specific surface. The content of isolated atoms of titanium is more than 5 molar %. They are in a preferably tetrahedral coordination and regularly distributed in the inorganic matrix. A method for producing the porous titanium-silica involves carrying out hydrolysis of titanium and silicon ethers of the general formula in mixtures of water with organic solvents and of aqueous solution of inorganic silicate and/or tetra orthosilicate with subsequent drying and roasting of materials.
