Method and apparatus for static and dynamicsupport of a grid system voltage by means of a staticpower factor correction device having a self-commutatedconverter.The invention relates to a method for static anddynamic support of a grid system voltage (v) at a networknode (PCC) by means of a static power factor correctiondevice (2) which has a transformer and a self-commutatedconverter (12) with at least one capacitive energy store(14), and an apparatus (8) for carrying out the method.According to the invention, instantaneous referencevalues (q ref, i svref) for a secondary instantaneous controlmethod are determined continuously as a function ofdetermined voltage magnitude errors of the grid systemvoltage (v) at the network node (PCC), by means of whichsecondary instantaneous control method a phase angle (.delta.)is determined as a function of determined instantaneousactual values (q, i sv), by means of which phase angle (.delta.)the angle (.sigma.) of the converter voltage space vector ((v s)of the self-commutated converter (12) is produced as afunction of the angle .PHI. of the grid system voltage spacevector (v). This results in dynamic regulation of thereactive volt-amperes required for grid system voltageregulation.
