Shut-off device between a septic and an aseptic area

The device includes a movable drive member (13) enclosed in at least one area by a channel (14) through which a medium can be passed. One end (17) of the channel which extends into the sterile area (B) opens through at least one opening (18) to the sterile area so that a sterilisation or protective medium e.g. air can be passed through the opening into the channel and with a drop in pressure passes through the channel to the non-sterile area. The drive member is formed as a longitudinal part whilst the channel enclosing same is formed as a ring channel. The drive member can be a lifting rod.
