INTERCONNECTING PROXY, SYSTEM AND METHOD OF INTERCONNECTING NETWORKS USING DIFFERENT PROTOCOLS

A system and a method of interconnecting networks using different protocols are disclosed. The system includes at least two IP networks using different protocols, and an interconnecting proxy which converts the format of messages that transmit among these IP networks according to the desired protocol. The interconnecting proxy includes at least one interconnecting proxy unit which performs the protocol conversion, and the interconnecting proxy unit is composed of a message receiving module, a message transmitting module and a protocol conversion module which performs the protocol conversion for these networks using different protocols. When interconnecting the networks using different protocols, the interconnecting proxy will change the format of messages according to the desired protocol in order to these messages could be received by another different network. Therefore, it is possible to interconnect different networks.
