The cladding panel comprises upper and lower cladding (10,11) covering a core (12) of injected plastics foam which sets and bonds the panel together. The outer edges of the cladding are fitted with profile strips on the foam side. The profiles overlap and form a barrier for the injected foam. The overlap is selected to provide a secure closure or a seal is placed between the profiles prior to foaming. The panel is jigged to provide the correct thickness of foam core. The edging strips eliminate the need for a mould and enable different sizes of panel to be made. Different shapes of edging strip can be used, including interlocking profiles as well as strips which enable adjacent panels to be linked.
