PURPOSE: A method for displaying characters in an electronic sign board and an electronic sign board capable of multilingual input and output are provided to appropriately display the information to the foreigner as well as to display various languages by installing without depending on the environments. CONSTITUTION: An electronic sign board capable of multilingual input and output includes an input block(20), a control block(30) and an output block(40). The input block(20) inputs the contents to be displayed on the electronic sign board by a manager from a remote controller or a computer and transmits the inputted data of the information to the electronic sign board. The control block(30) displays a corresponding language as output automata in a display order by configuring the context with a language automata inputted in response to the control signal of dat and character signal from the input block(20). And, the output block(40) displays the displaying data on the electronic sign board.
