PURPOSE: A method for controlling temperature to lock automatically a wavelength of a Fabry-Perot laser diode in a wavelength of injected non-interfering light is provided to lock automatically the wavelength of the Fabry-Perot laser diode in the wavelength of the light injected from the outside by improving a temperature control method. CONSTITUTION: A new temperature setup voltage instead of a previous temperature setup voltage is provided to an automatic temperature controller. A value of current applied to a Fabry-Perot laser diode is measured. The temperature setup voltage of the automatic temperature controller is changed by comparing a previous current value of the Fabry-Perot laser diode to a present current value of the Fabry-Perot laser diode. The changed temperature setup voltage is provided to the automatic temperature controller. The above processes are performed repeatedly after a predetermined period of time.
