POROUS CARBONACEOUS MATERIAL USING RICE HULLS AND POROUS CARBONACEOUS PRODUCT OBTAINED BY USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Provided are a porous carbonaceous material using rice hulls as a starting material and a product manufactured by using it. The product of the porous carbonaceous has high availability as an industrial product suitable for mass production. CONSTITUTION: The porous carbonaceous material is obtained by the steps of: mixing and kneading rice hulls with at least one selected from the group consisting of a thermosetting resin, an aqueous solution containing an animal or vegetable adhesive past and water; drying the kneading, followed by granulation to give particulate rice hulls; and baking the particulate rice hulls under inert atmosphere or under vacuum condition, followed by carbonization.
