Korean news title auto abstraction method by Korean image character recognition function

摘要

PURPOSE: A method for automatically extracting a news title of news motion pictures through a functions of recognizing Korean image characters is provided to reduce working hours and realize prompt news reports by automatically sorting motion pictures by news articles, and reduce working expenses. CONSTITUTION: A key frame extracting unit extracts key frames from shot units of frame units based on color histogram. A character domain unit extracts a character domain to be recognized from the key frames. A character recognizing unit recognizes characters in the character domain. A news title storing unit stores the results of recognizing the characters as news titles to automatically sort news motion pictures by the news titles.
