PURPOSE: A system and a method for remotely diagnosing a failure of an automatic washer having a sound recognizing/synthesizing function, and the method for informing a service providing opinion for eliminating the failure are provided to understand a basic cause of the failure by continuously monitoring/storing an operation state and a use history of the washer, and the use history of each parts in a database. CONSTITUTION: A drive microcomputer(22) controls the driving of a motor(20) and other load(21), and reads the operation state. A voice recognizing/synthesizing module(28) makes a user input the operation order or set the function through a voice, and informs the user of the information related to the function and the operation state through the voice. A memory(26) stores a washer operating algorithm, the washer related information including the use history and the operation state, and the data received from an external device. A web server(40) receives the washer related information through the Internet network and displays the information on a web page. A control server(42) judges the failure by comparing the washer related information from the web server and the washer related information stored in a database server.
