PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for growing bean sprouts, green bean sprouts, sprouts or hydroponic plant by spraying chlorella culture liquid on plants in a constant-temperature chamber and then recycling the remaining liquid to a chlorella culture tank disposed beneath the chamber are provided. It enables recycling and filtration of remaining liquid to be achieved and thus reduces water pollution and produces various sprouts at low cost without using separate growth promoters, agricultural chemicals, plant nutrients or the like. CONSTITUTION: The plant growing system comprises: a multistage constant-temperature chamber containing a spray apparatus for spraying chlorella culture liquid to plants while maintaining a temperature and moisture suitable for growing the plants; a chlorella culture tank containing a constant-temperature apparatus, an illuminating apparatus and an aeration apparatus; and a transfer pipe for transferring the chlorella culture liquid to the chamber. The chamber contains a bio-filter containing any one of charcoal powder, silica and manganese. Chlorella is cultured at 255deg.C.
