PURPOSE: A directional coupler using non-radiative dielectric waveguide is provided to reduce curvature loss and improve wide band property by easily fixing position. CONSTITUTION: A directional coupler comprises an upper conductive plate(11a) and a lower conductive plate(11b) facing each other and having substantially parallel conductive surface; a first NRD waveguide(12a) and a second NRD waveguide(12b) formed between the conductive plates and having a predetermined a dielectric constant; and a multi-hole conductive plate(13) formed between the first and the second NRD waveguides and having at least one or more through hole. In a transmitting mode of the NRD waveguides, electric field components or magnetic field components are coupled through the through hole formed on the multi-hole conductive plate.
