PURPOSE: A driving assistant system and a driving assistant apparatus and a driving assisting method are provided to judge cross possibility with other vehicles accurately without map database, by estimating road linearity on the ground of position information received from other vehicles. CONSTITUTION: The driving assistant apparatus(100) has a vehicle position and speed detection unit(101) detecting present position and speed of a vehicle and generating position information and speed information. The position information and the speed information are transmitted via an antenna(103) through a communication unit(102). An extraction unit(104) extracts load linearity from the position information and the speed information received from another vehicle. A cross possibility judgement unit(105) judges whether there is a crossing vehicle. An information providing unit(106) provides information and/or alarm to a driver.
