BANKNOTE DETECTION UNIT FOR BANKNOTE DISTINGUISHING DEVICE TO DETECT EASILY INFORMATION FROM BANK NOTE

PURPOSE: A banknote detection unit for a banknote distinguishing device to detect easily information from bank note is provided to lower the manufacturing cost by reducing installation spaces for a transmitting section and a reflecting section. CONSTITUTION: A banknote detection unit includes a transmitting sensor and a reflecting sensor. The transmitting sensor includes a light emitting section and a light receiving section which is located on an optical axis of the light emitting section and is positioned on opposite sides to a banknote passageway(7). The reflection sensor includes a light transmitting section and a light receiving section which are located on one side of the banknote passageway. A first transmitting sensor(68) is structured by a first optical axis(66) of a first light emitting section(49) and a first light receiving section(64). A first reflecting sensor is structured by the first light emitting section and a second light receiving section(53) which is located on the same side as the first light emitting section relative to the banknote passageway.
