PURPOSE: A thin electronic chip card is provided to satisfy a high requirement in a mechanical stability aspect for a flexural stress and a twist stress and to be produced easily. CONSTITUTION: The thin electronic chip card comprises at least one lithium-inserted electrode; a galvanic element(3) having a thin flexible housing comprising two metal foils supported directly by the electrode and interconnected in a closed type by an adhesive or a closed layer; and an IC chip. The galvanic element is arranged in a recess of the chip card. The both sides of the chip card and the element are coated with an overlay plastic film bonded firmly to the chip card and the element by an elastic stress compensating adhesive(4) attached to both metal and plastic.
