GELATIN HARD CAPSULE IMPROVED IN WATER PERMEABILITY CONTAINING SUCROSE FATTY ESTER HAVING EFFECT OF INHIBITING WATER PERMEABILITY OF CAPSULE MATERIAL WHEREBY INHIBITING MOISTURE INCREASE OF FILLER MATERIAL WITHIN CAPSULE AND PREVENTING DETERIORATION OF FILLER MATERIAL FOR LONG PERIOD OF TIME

摘要

PURPOSE: A gelatin hard capsule containing sucrose fatty ester having an HLB of 2 to 8 in which 70% by weight of fatty acid is stearic acid is provided. It inhibits water permeability of capsule material whereby inhibiting the moisture increase of filler material within the capsule and preventing the deterioration of the filler material for a long period of time. CONSTITUTION: The gelatin hard capsule contains 0.01 to 2.0 parts by weight of sucrose fatty ester having an HLB of 2 to 8, if necessary, pigments, colorants or other additives, based on 100 parts by weight of the solid content of the capsule. In the capsule, 50% or more by weight of fatty acid(preferably 60% or more by weight, more preferably 70% or more by weight and most preferably 80% or more by weight) is stearic acid. For an example, gelatin is dissolved in water to give 27% gelatin solution, which is mixed with 70% by weight of stearic acid and 30% by weight of palmitic acid.
