ELECTRODE MATERIAL FOR LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY COMPRISING SI-ALLOY PARTICLE AND INTERMETALLIC COMPOUND DISPERSED IN SI, ELECTRODE STRUCTURE CONTAINING THE ELECTRODE MATERIAL, AND SECONDARY BATTERY USING THE ELECTRODE STRUCTURE
ELECTRODE MATERIAL FOR LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY COMPRISING SI-ALLOY PARTICLE AND INTERMETALLIC COMPOUND DISPERSED IN SI, ELECTRODE STRUCTURE CONTAINING THE ELECTRODE MATERIAL, AND SECONDARY BATTERY USING THE ELECTRODE STRUCTURE
PURPOSE: An electrode material for a lithium secondary battery, an electrode structure containing the electrode material and a secondary battery using the electrode structure are provided, to reduce the deterioration of capacity due to the repeated charge/discharge and to improve charge/discharge cycle lifetime and energy density. CONSTITUTION: The electrode material(103) for a lithium secondary battery contains an alloy particle(106) comprising silicon as a main component and having an average diameter of 0.02-5 micrometers, wherein the size of crystallite of the alloy is 2-500 nm and the intermetallic compound(107) containing at least tin is dispersed in silicon. Preferably the intermetallic compound containing at least tin comprises further at least one element selected from the group consisting of copper, nickel, cobalt, iron, manganese, vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, tantalum, zirconium, yttrium, lanthanum, selenium and magnesium; and the alloy comprising silicon comprises further at least one element selected from the group consisting of tin, aluminium, zinc, indium, antimony, bismuth and lead.
