PURPOSE: A 1:1 chatting service method of a mobile communication terminal is provided to reduce time required for chatting and remarkably saving chatting charges. CONSTITUTION: A user of a mobile communication terminal and a user of other terminal set chatting IDs corresponding to self telephone numbers(211). A 1:1 chatting service function is supplied to the terminals(221). If the user of the terminal inputs the telephone number of the other terminal, and then selects a 1:1 chatting service menu or presses a 1:1 chatting service button, the terminal is connected to a chatting server(231). The connected terminal retrieves the ID corresponding to the telephone number of the other terminal(241), and opens a chatting room(251). The terminal retrieves the ID of the other terminal in the chatting room(261). If the ID is discovered(265), the terminal selects the ID, and displays that the terminal is connected with the other terminal on a screen(271).
