STEERING WHEEL FOR VEHICLE SIMULATOR MAKING USE OF ACTIVE AND SEMI-ACTIVE ACTUATORS, ACHIEVING STEERING WHEEL BY CONVERTING SHAPE OF ACTUATOR INTO PARALLEL COMBINED SHAPE OF ACTIVE MOTOR AND SEMI-ACTIVE DAMPER
PURPOSE: A steering wheel for a vehicle simulator making use of active and semi-active actuators is provided to offer a smooth steering feeling of the semi-active actuator to a driver without limit of a range of reaction force by attaining the steering wheel via the use of an active motor and a semi-active damper making use of magneto-rheological fluids. CONSTITUTION: A steering wheel(10) for a vehicle simulator making use of active and semi-active actuators comprises the steering wheel; a steering torque sensor(40) arranged to a column, to detect a torque change of the steering wheel according to driver's steering wheel operation; a steering angle sensor(50) arranged to the column, to detect an angle change of the steering wheel; a semi-active damper(20) producing reaction force according to driver's steering wheel operation; a control part(70) receiving a signal detected and applied from the steering torque sensor and the steering angle sensor, providing the signal to a vehicle kinetic simulator(100), and outputting active and semi-active control signals by executing force feedback control with vehicle kinetic data applied from the vehicle kinetic simulator; an active driving part for giving active reaction force to the steering wheel according to the active control signal output from the control part; and a semi-active driving part for giving semi-active reaction force to the steering wheel according to the semi-active control signal.
