METHOD FOR DETECTING VALID SECTION BY USING FREQUENCY SPACE ENERGY AND REPEATED PLAYING METHOD USING DETECTING METHOD

PURPOSE: A repeated playing method using a valid section detecting method is provided to define and evaluate energy concepts on a frequency space with regards to play sources coded through a transform coding process, thereby detecting a valid section from the play sources. CONSTITUTION: A system decodes a format of MP3 data(ST710), and restores data of a frequency space(ST715). The system checks whether a current repeated play mode is set(ST720). If not, the system transforms the data of the frequency space into data of a time space(ST735), and performs a process of generating PCM data. If the repeated play mode is set, the system calculates energy according to a predetermined definition on the frequency space(ST725), and detects a valid section(ST730). The system transforms the data of the frequency space into data of a time space(ST735), and generates the PCM data. If a start point of the valid section is detected, the system keeps information on the start point.
