PURPOSE: An optical element system for compensating dispersion of a polarization mode is provided to remove or reduce the dispersion of the polarization mode by installing a linear double refraction generator for compensation at a front position and a rear position of the linear double refraction. CONSTITUTION: An optical element system for compensating dispersion of a polarization mode includes a linear double refraction generator(100a,100b) for compensation. The linear double refraction generator(100a,100b) for compensation is installed selectively at a front position and a rear position of an optical transmission line(50) or an optical waveguide(20) having the linear double refraction in order to compensate the dispersion of the polarization mode due to the linear double refraction by generating the linear double refraction for compensation. The linear double refraction generator(100a,100b) for compensation is used for removing or reducing a time delay phenomenon between the polarization modes due to the linear double refraction.
