PURPOSE: A process for preparing the titled wire rods by adjusting a steel component and controlling the manufacturing conditions of wire rods to meet the steel component is provided, thereby producing wire rods having excellent mechanical properties, impact absorbing energy and welding efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A steel slab comprising by weight, C:0.10% or less, Mn:1.30 to 1.50%, Si:0.5 to 0.8%, P:0.020% or less, S:0.010 to 0.020%, Ti:0.10 to 0.20%, Zr:0.050 to 0.140%, Mo:0.03% or less and the balance of Fe with other inevitable impurities is heated at 1,000 to 1,050deg.C, high speed drawn at 800 to 850deg.C, quenched to 750deg.C or less by injecting water and air, winded, slow quenched at 650deg.C and air cooled to ordinary temperature to produce the subject wire rods.
