FIELD: radar equipment; aeronavigation; automatic prevention of collision with mountainous terrain.;SUBSTANCE: proposed method and device for realization of this method are based on radiation of two radio signals by two-antenna radar transducer followed by analysis of aircraft speed by Doppler frequency by means of first antenna at maximum of directional pattern to aircraft axis within 9045 deg.; second antenna whose angle is within 015-20 deg is used for reception of reflected signal from mountainous terrain; second rate of closure is determined by derivative range. Then, parameter of mismatch of first and second rates of closure is calculated as difference of these rates and decision is taken on state of terrain.;EFFECT: enhanced reliability of flight.;3 cl, 5 dwg
