The invention relates to a novel method for encapsulating proteins or peptides in liposomes which has favorable encapsulation rates of 30 %. The invention also relates to the liposomes produced using this method, and to their use. The method for encapsulating proteins or peptides in liposomes is characterized in that: the protein or peptide to be encapsulated is dissolved in an aqueous buffer medium; solutions of membrane-forming substances are added, which are selected such that the resulting membrane enters into a reversible mutual reaction with the protein or peptide; the protein or peptide, which is located on the outside of the formed liposome membrane, is detached, and; the liposomes are extracted from the solution.
