The driver applies a force (Fs) to the accelerator pedal (1) and the control value is determined electronically using a sensor shaft (2) on a first rotary axis (S). A spring (3) returns the shaft to its throttle-closed position. A steel wire or band (4,4b) is wrapped around the first shaft and a tensioning and spring-loaded overload protection wheel (5) bears against it. The wire or band is wrapped around a drum (4a) on a second rotary axis (M) and produces an actuator moment (Mm). A spring (6) tensions the wire or band on the drum.
